Grant North on lockdown

By NORTHERN STAR STAFF
Last updated on 00/00/0000 at 12:00 a.m.

Following an earlier incident, the Grant North towers have been put on lock down for the rest of the night.

The lock down began at 8 p.m.

Students must present an ID and residence hall card to gain access to the towers at this time.

Students outside the building said there was almost a fight in the building before police arrived.

Police were seen talking with two individuals in a room in the lobby and then to the community advisers of the hall.

The students working the front desk said the lock down will be in effect through the night.

NIU police were unavailable for comment tonight.

A fight at Grant? Wow THAT has never happened before. What is next? Lock downs whenever a car with twenty inch rims drives by?
