AIM Mail Centers nationwide are giving back to the U.S. Military this holiday season.

From Veterans Day to Thanksgiving, AIM Mail Centers will be offering free postage on cards, letters and notes weighing one ounce or less to U.S. Military APO and AFO addresses.

“It’s a small way of acknowledging vets in this time of year,” said David Parker III, a chief marketing officer for AIM Mail Centers.

Michael Sawitz, AIM Mail Center chief executive, encouraged people to take advantage of this offer in an undated press release.

“Everyone should send someone we know, who currently serves this nation a letter, a note or a card,” Spalding said. “Tell them how much we appreciate their commitment, courage and service so we can be safe.”

AIM Mail Center in DeKalb, 2583 Sycamore Road, is one of 100 to participate in this event.

Jim Spalding, veteran and owner of the DeKalb AIM Mail Center, said he feels good about the program.

“I’m very much in support of the people in service,” Spalding said.

The DeKalb location has not seen people taking advantage of this opportunity, but Spalding is optimistic.

“I’m hopeful we will get a good turnout,” Spalding said.

Parker said this is the first year for this program and he believes the program will continue in years to come.

AIM Mail Center offers things such as printing, promotional items, private mailboxes and has contracts with United States Postal Service, UPS and FedEX, Parker said.
