Local man arrested, charged with predatory criminal sexual assault

A DeKalb man was arrested Nov. 26 for allegedly sexually assaulting a juvenile who lived in his apartment.

About 8:10 p.m., DeKalb Police were called to the apartment in the 1000 block of West Hillcrest Drive for a 911 call from a juvenile victim of sexual assault, according to a DeKalb Police Department news release.

Police found the suspect, Hector Bartolo Sanchez, 19, in the apartment sleeping. He was arrested and charged with predatory criminal sexual assault, a class X felony.

The victim and the suspect are not related, but lived in the same apartment. The victim was treated and released at Edward Hospital and Health Services in Naperville.
