DeKALB | The investigation of a criminal sexual assault was transferred to the state’s attorney office this week.

Lt. Todd Henert said the University Police had transferred reports of a sexual assault that occurred in November to the offices of Ron Matekaitis, DeKalb County State’s Attorney, Wednesday.

As of press time, no arrests had been made or confirmed.
“It’s kind of in limbo. We’re waiting for them to see what they do next,” Henert said.

According to police reports, the assault occurred somewhere on Ridge Road between 10 p.m. on Nov. 15 and 6 a.m. on Nov. 16 but was not reported until Nov. 26.
Henert did not disclose any further details regarding the case.
