The NIU men’s and women’s basketball teams will bid farewell to five seniors on Saturday at the Convocation Center.
Sean Smith is the only senior on the men’s team and is averaging 8.2 points and 3.1 rebounds a game for the Huskies this season. NIU is coming off a 78-63 victory over Western Michigan on Wednesday at home where Smith posted 14 points.

The men’s team will face Ball State at 2 p.m. Saturday.

Four seniors on the women’s team will be honored on Saturday when the Huskies take on Central MIchigan at 5 p.m.

Jessie Wilcox is averaging 11 points a game out of the guard spot for the Huskies and has led the team in scoring nine times. Aileen Rossouw is averaging 7.1 points and five rebounds a game with 15 points Wednesday night and posted a double-double at Eastern Michigan on Feb. 21 with 13 points and 10 rebounds. In limited playing time, Becky Smith has averaged 4.1 points a game, and Shari’ Welton has averaged six points a game.
