Police search for car theft suspects

DeKalb police are searching for two suspects involved in a car chase Tuesday morning.

At 2:13 a.m. Tuesday, police ran the license of plate of a vehicle in the 900 block of Ridge Drive and found the vehicle to be stolen out of Chicago. Police stopped the car at 7-Eleven at the corner of Annie Glidden Road and West Hillcrest Drive.

When police attempted to put the suspect in custody, the suspect accelerated the car and drove away from the area. Officers pursued the car and found it abandoned in the 800 block of Ridge Drive.

The driver is described as a black male, 5-foot-10 inches tall, and wearing a dark shirt. The passenger is described as a black male, 6-foot-2 inches tall wearing a white T-shirt and blue jeans.
