DeShazer, Deutsch eliminated from NCAA tourney

Tristen DeShazer lost 7-2 to No. 12 Steve Bell of Maryland after Bell scored two first period takedowns. DeShazer defeated Edinboro's Rick Deubel earlier by pin and ends the season 23-13 with 17 pins.

Bryan Deutsch also fell to Thomas Scotton of North Carolina by a 15-5 major decision. Deutsch entered the MAC Championships unseeded at 157-pounds and finishes with a 16-10 record.

As a team the Huskies recorded 9.5 points with two wrestlers and fell just short of 10 points recorded last year going 3-4 in this year's tournament.
