Heavy snowfall expected tonight into Sunday morning

The National Weather Service has issued a winter storm warning for the DeKalb area beginning tonight at 7 p.m. lasting until 1 p.m. Sunday.

Rain will begin this afternoon, eventually mixing with sleet and turning into snow, the weather report said.

Snowfall will be the greatest between midnight and 6 a.m.

The wet and heavy snowfall totals are projected to be between three and seven inches.
