"Back to the '80s" rocks the Egyptian Theatre

One small picture from a student, yet one giant leap for self-expression.
Since February, the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender Resource Center has been working on an ever-changing and expanding piece of art.
The project that originally began as a mural for the LGBT Resource Center has become a 6-foot by 4-foot collage that anyone can add to, said Margie Cook, director of the LGBT Resource Center.
Students are allowed to design and decorate a postcard-sized piece of paper attached to steel sheets by magnets. When completed, the project will be a collage of self-expression and pride to the many who contributed.
“The main theme of this project is to reflect the LGBT community experience through pride, empowerment and community,” Cook said.
Everyone is encouraged to add to the collage whether they are a student, faculty or staff member, Cook said.
