What: “Tough Love”
When: Sundays at 9 p.m. on VH1
If there isn’t enough melodrama in your own day-to-day life, the eight girls on this reality show have enough for your whole week. Their dysfunctional dating habits are coached by matchmaker Steve Ward as they try to ditch their issues and find true love. The process is long and harsh on these flawed females and the explosive drama that ensues made this season’s “Real World” look like an episode of “Full House.” With VH1 replaying this week’s episode practically every five hours, you’ll be able to catch this whenever you have a free hour.

What: “Krod Mandoon and the Flaming Sword of Fire”
When: Premieres Thursday at 9 p.m. on Comedy Central
This new comedy fantasy/drama is a parody of the medieval dramas like “Hercules” or “Xena: Warrior Princess.” It seems as though producers of this show missed the boat since these shows have not been popular for years, and upon watching the pilot, it is obvious why. Though there are some funny scenarios and one-liners, most of the comedy is too hidden among wordy Old English dialogue for the instant gratification we crave nowadays. Watch Kevin Sorbo’s glory day reruns instead.

What: “Parks and Recreation”
When: Premieres Thursday at 7;30 p.m. on NBC
It won’t be tough to watch this new Amy Poehler comedy as fans of the “SNL” album have been craving this show since the preview during the Super Bowl. It will be nice to see her back on TV, and the clever placement between two new episodes of “The Office” will make this one impossible to miss.

What: “Taking the Stage”
When: Thursdays at 9 p.m. on MTV
While lately TV has been pushing the faux reality shows to new lows, a show has finally surmised that is worth tuning in to. This new MTV show takes a look at the lives of students attending the School for Creative and Performing Arts. There is plenty of drama as with all of these shows, but the sheer talent these students possess is something that really can’t be faked.

What: “In the Motherhood”
When: Thursdays at 7 p.m. on ABC
Megan Mullally, Cheryl Hines and Jessica St. Clair star in this comedy about women in different stages of parenting and the crazy situations they go through. Mullally plays a fast-talking shrewd woman who acts exactly like her character on “Will and Grace” but without the bank account. The show is funny, but it plays during the much more popular “American Idol.”
