No. 27: Larry Brink

In 1948, Larry Brink was the first NFL Draft pick out of NIU to the Los Angeles Rams in the 17th round, pick No. 150 overall and also a charter member of the NIU Hall of Fame. In 1999, he was named to the NIU All-Century Team and was also a part of the 1946 Little 19 championship team that went 8-2-0. Brink was a three-time, First-Team All Little 19/IIAC grid pick from 1945 to 1947. He was also a member of the first two bowl teams at NIU, going to the Turkey Bowl in 1946 and the Refrigerator Bowl in 1947.
