No. 20: John McDougal

As “The Wizard of Annie Glidden Road and Lucinda Avenue,” John McDougal took the Huskies to their first NCAA Tournament by winning the MAC Tournament in 1981-82.

Under McDougal, the Huskies took home many awards including MAC Player of the Year (2), MAC Frosh of the Year (2), 11 All-MAC performers and five NBA draftees. In 1980-81, NIU was co-MAC Champion and won 136 games in McDougal’s career.
