No. 12: Jim Bradley
By NORTHERN STAR STAFF
Last updated on 04/22/2009 at 10:53 p.m.

Jim Bradley was the Magic Johnson of his era, often drawing comparisons to Julius “Dr. J” Erving. “The Franchise” helped the Huskies win 38 of 50 games in two seasons including a win over No. 5 Indiana. In his career, Bradley posted 1,134 points, 46 point-rebound double-doubles and NIU’s first two triple-doubles.

On Nov. 11, 1971, Bradley was given an iconic full-page photo in Sports Illustrated, towering over a DeKalb cornfield. Bradley was voted NIU Player of the Century and was drafted by the Los Angeles Lakers after college.
