DeKalb, prepare for a British invasion. John, Paul, Ringo and George are coming ... sort of.
American English, one of the world’s most recognized Beatles tribute bands, will take you down to strawberry fields when they play Otto’s Niteclub, 118 E. Lincoln Highway at 9 p.m. Saturday. Tickets are $10.

American English puts on a show that documents the evolution of The Beatles as the mop-topped foursome and will play everything from early Liverpool material to “Sgt. Pepper” to later psychedelic stuff.

Internationally recognized, the band has shared the stage which legends such as Three Dog Night, The Doobie Brothers, The Neville Brothers and The Grassroots, according to the band’s official Web site.

American English previously played DeKalb last year at The Egyptian Theatre, 135 N. 2nd St., and in 2007 at Cornfest.
