At 11:53 p.m., University Police were dispatched to serve the arrest warrant of Daniel S. Perez, 18, of Chicago Heights. Officers arrested Perez at Grant South for possession of cannabis, which was discovered previously on Dec. 7, 2008. Perez was also charged with unlawful consumption of alcohol by a minor. Officers booked Perez at the NIU Police Department, where he posted bond and was released.

At 3:49 p.m., a victim reported being harassed via telephone to the NIU Police Department. University Police advised the two offenders to have no contact with the victim. The offenders were referred to Judicial Affairs.

At 10:55 p.m., a resident of Lincoln Hall admitted to accidentally damaging the lounge doors. Because it was unintentional, the case is unfounded. The resident was referred to Judicial Affairs.

At 11 p.m., University Police spotted a group of individuals walking near Stevenson South who appeared to have been drinking. Officers questioned them and found that one of the people present was escorting them home and taking responsibility for them. The officers gave them a verbal warning.
