City police blotter for Aug. 24

At 12:15 p.m. on Monday, Aug. 17, DeKalb Police were called to the 600 block of Seventh Street about a dog being hit by a car. After an investigation, police arrested Roberto Herrera, 48, of Sycamore because he fit the description of the driver. Police later found that Herrera did not have a valid drivers license. He was later released on bond.

At 1:36 a.m. on Monday, Aug. 17, police were called to the 800 block of Edgebrook Drive for an alleged fight. Police arrested Corey A. Barreiro, 22, of Marengo and charged him with battery. He was later released on bond.

At 9:04 a.m. on Sunday, Aug. 16, police stopped a vehicle in the 1000 block of Pleasant St. Police later arrested Elias Perez, 34, of DeKalb and charged him with driving with a revoked license and not wearing a seat belt. He was later released on bond.
