Students and residents of DeKalb may be affected by new changes in the Huskie Bus Line schedule.
Veolia Transportation, 1825 Pleasant St., is now charging 75 cents per transit on route number two which travels to downtown DeKalb and Schnucks grocery store. Matt Weinberg, assistant general manager of Veolia, said students who provide an NIU OneCard upon boarding this route are not required to pay the fee.
Weinberg also indicated that Route No. 5 has also seen changes this semester.
“This route, which originally made a right turn onto Greenbrier Road down Greek Row, will now stay straight on Hillcrest and take a right turn on Normal Road,” Weinberg said. This will help provide better transportation for students traveling to Barsema and the engineering building.”
The remaining of the Huskie Bus Line routes will keep their traditional schedules. Detailed routes may be found at the Huskie Bus Line Web site, http://www.huskieline.com/niu_routes.htm.
