A fight at Krystal’s Ultra Lounge, 122 S. First St., Saturday left a DeKalb police officer injured.
According to a DeKalb Police report, officers were called to nearby Walgreens, 100 W. Lincoln Highway, about an alleged armed robbery in the parking lot around 2 a.m.
When the officers arrived on the scene they found the alleged victim of the robbery being held back by employees of Krystal’s, the report said.
The victim allegedly was trying to start a fight “with potential suspects,” the report said.
DeKalb Lt. Gary Spangler said there were about 300 people in the Walgreens parking lot when the officers arrived.
Spangler said a fight eventually did break out and an officer was injured while trying to break it up.
“He was treated for minor injuries and released,” Spangler said.
After the fight both the suspects and victim fled the scene and no information was obtained from either, the report said.
The report said the caller originally said the suspect had a handgun, but no firearm was found.
