Three suspects arrested in connection with string of burglaries
By ALAN EDRINN

The DeKalb police arrested three DeKalb residents Wednesday in connection with several burglaries over the past year.

Paul A. Blahnik, 19, Andrew P. Brown, 20, and Joshua T. Chilton, 19, all of DeKalb, turned themselves in for arrest warrants in connection with the burglaries.

A fourth suspect, Eun C. Lee, 20, of DeKalb, who is also connected with the burglaries, is still wanted on a warrant, but is out of the country on a pre-scheduled trip. All four suspects are charged with burglary, a Class 2 felony.

A police investigation showed that the suspects were involved in eight burglaries that occurred over the past year, the most recent being a burglary at the Kishwaukee Country Club on June 28, where a large amount of merchandise was taken from the pro-shop. Some of the merchandise has been recovered from this burglary.

Other burglaries include two at South Point Centre, one at Horizon Management and three residential burglaries on Fotis Drive.

All four suspects are believed to have worked together, with at least two being involved during each burglary, said Lt. Gary Spangler of the DeKalb Police Department. An interview with one suspect gave information which led to the other suspects, Spangler said.
