"Back to the '80s" rocks the Egyptian Theatre

The university released its Clery Act report Tuesday, which is the compilation of all applicable crime statistics recorded by the NIU Police Department over the last year.
The complete crime statistics for NIU and its satellite campuses are available online at http://www.safety.niu.edu/about/safety/2009/index.shtml.
Provided below are the overall crime statistics for NIU-DeKalb as stated in the Clery Act report. NIU compiled these statistics in conjunction with the City of DeKalb Police Department, the DeKalb County Sheriff’s Office, the Illinois State Police and the North Central Narcotics Task Force during 2006; and with the DeKalb County Sheriff’s Office and the Illinois State Police during 2007 and 2008, according to the report.
* There were no reported hate crimes at NIU-DeKalb in 2008, according to the report. There were none in 2006 and one on-campus forcible sex offensive hate crime involving racial bias in 2007, according to the report.
** The report contains a footnote specifically stating the five murders recorded at NIU-DeKalb in 2008 were the product of the February 14, 2008 Cole Hall shootings.
