At 12:19 a.m., University Police patrolling Lincoln Hall encountered two individuals they believed to be acting strangely. Both admitted to smoking cannabis and possessing drug paraphernalia, as well as drinking and possessing alcohol. Both were referred to Judicial Affairs for cannabis possession and given verbal warnings for underage drinking.
At 11:19 a.m., a student at Grant South reported fraudulent use of her debit card. Case is pending.
At 12:34 p.m., an individual reported that money and her cell phone were taken from her purse when she left it unattended. With no leads, case is closed.
At 1:35 p.m., a report was taken of a theft of a coat from the Rec Center during the dance held on Oct. 4. With no leads, case is closed.
At 6:50 p.m., a report was taken at the NIU Police Department of a stolen purse. The purse was last seen in the Lincoln Hall lobby. Case is pending.
At 9:21 p.m., University Police patrolling Central Park observed three individuals with a strong smell of cannabis coming from them. After questioning, the three all admitted to smoking cannabis and possessing drug paraphernalia. They were all referred to Judicial Affairs.
At 11:59 p.m., University Police responded to Douglas Hall to a report of loud and disruptive behavior. Officers arrested Kenneth Wojcicki, 19, of Palos Heights, for disorderly conduct and illegal consumption by a minor. Wojcicki was booked at the NIU Police Department and released on bond.
