NIU Police Chief Donald Grady has been placed on paid administrative leave as the university begins a 30-day review of his performance, said Eddie Williams, executive vice president of finance and facilities and COO, in a written statement.

The review will be conducted by a team of reviewers from outside the university. The team will present a final report to Williams and NIU President John Peters, according to the statement.
