Video footage obtained by the DeKalb Police Department shows the suspect of an armed robbery at the TCF Bank located inside Jewel-Osco, 1320 Sycamore Road, Monday afternoon.

DeKalb Police are looking for a suspect involved in the armed robbery of the TCF Bank located inside Jewel-Osco, 1320 Sycamore Road, Monday afternoon.

The suspect is described as a black man in his thirties, average build, between 5–feet–8–inches and 6–feet tall, with pock marks on his face, according to a DeKalb Police press release.

The suspect is alleged to have implied he had a weapon, but one was not displayed, the release said.

DeKalb Police Chief Bill Feithen said the suspect handed TCF employees a note demanding money and threatened to kill them if they did not comply.

The release said the man was wearing a dark bulky winter coat, dark jeans, a dark hooded sweatshirt and sunglasses. The suspect made off with an unspecified amount of cash and fled on foot running north, the release said.

Feithen said police used dogs to track the suspect but did not release results as of Monday.

Calls to the Jewel-Osco public affairs office and TCF Bank media inquiry line were unsuccessful as of press time.
