Rockford resident leads police on car chase
By ALAN EDRINN

A Rockford resident led police on a chase Friday night in the 300 block of West Lincoln Highway.

About 11:38 p.m., police attempted to stop the vehicle near downtown DeKalb when he fled west on Lincoln Highway. During the chase “stop sticks” were deployed to flatten the vehicle’s tires.

The car stopped in the 500 block of West Lincoln Highway and the driver was arrested. A loaded handgun was also found in the vehicle.

The driver, Terrell Reynolds, 21, of Rockford, is charged with failure to yield, driving the wrong way on a one way street, improper lane usage, fleeing and attempting to elude a peace officer and aggravated unlawful use of a weapon.
