Accusations of cowardice and racism in indictment of Grady are unfounded

Re: The front page article yesterday October 21, 2009, “Grady Supporters Speak Out”: How does anyone (person cited that did not want their name used) accuse anyone (Editorial Board) of being “cowardly” for not using their name? The only problem with investigations into government employees is they do not happen often enough. How many of us wish someone had done something about Rod Blagojevich sooner, before he caused so many problems? Do you really think he was the only problem? Is investigating any person who is black racism? Of course not. The false claim of racism is the classic crying wolf.

Next, appointing a committee, which includes Retired Justice John Nichols was absolute brilliance. Justice Nichols may not be well-known by the public, but he is so well-respected in legal circles there is automatic credibility for the committee. I haven’t see any name mentioned other than Justice Nichols. Having no opinion of the Chief Grady issues/accusations directly, I look forward to having the matter closed by the vague committee, and Justice John Nichols.
