Let her out! Shakira, the Latina pop sensation’s latest track “She Wolf” cries out for listeners.
Back in 2001, this Colombian-born sensation took the United States by storm, releasing her first English crossover album called “Laundry Service.”
Quickly launching her to star status, Shakira became the next big role model for Latinos. With a powerful voice and extreme dance moves, her talent surpassed previous crossover artists like Jennifer Lopez.
The album “She Wolf” hit the store shelves Oct. 16and was an automatic howl.
The music video showed a new side of Shakira as not just a belly-dancing queen, but as a sexy, confident woman. Even though it is sometimes tough to understand her English, the music speaks for itself.
Helping in the composition and production of both the track and the music video, Shakira refuses to sit in the background. For an artist to play such a large part in keeping the music real is a battle that she refuses to give in to.
As Shakira belts out the notes in “She Wolf,” the power of her voice is dominating and entrancing. With pipes like hers, it will be difficult for future artists to match the quality of her singing.
If the iPod is full, don’t hesitate to delete a track and replace it with “She Wolf”. This catchy, zesty tune is just one more piece of evidence that this strong Latina star won’t be fading any time soon.
