Bond was set Monday for two suspects charged with aggravated robbery.
Darius Fizer, 18, of Forest Park, is being held at the DeKalb County Jail on $50,000, and James Howard, 20, of DeKalb, is being held on $25,000.
The robbery was reported just after midnight Sunday. The victim said he was walking in the 800 block of Greenbrier Road when he was approached by two suspects on foot, a DeKalb Police press release said.
The release said the suspects hit the victim on the head and implied they had a gun.
DeKalb Police Lt. Gary Spangler said the suspects took “personal property” from the victim then fled the scene. The suspects did not show the gun to the victim, Spangler said, but he said they threatened to shoot him if he did not cooperate.
The officers’ investigation observed the two suspects trying to hide on a balcony of an apartment, the release said. The property that was taken was found on the balcony and put into evidence, the release said.
Officers learned Fizer was wanted on two failure to appear warrants out of Cook County. Spangler said the warrants were for theft and larceny.
Fizer was also charged with obstructing justice, a Class 4 Felony. Both Fizer and Howard were charged with aggravated robbery, a Class 1 Felony.
