NORTHERN STAR

The Northern Star won first place for National Story of the Year / Multimedia Package at the National College Media Convention in Austin, Texas Saturday.

The Star was also one of 13 finalists for the National Pacemaker Award, which is the college equivalent of the Pulitzer Prize.

This was the fourth time the Star has been nominated for the Pacemaker and the second consecutive year being a finalist for the honor, which the Star has won twice, in 1974 and 2008.
