At 5:05 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 20, DeKalb Police attempted to stop James A. Alexander, 24, of Chicago, who was wanted on a warrant. When the officers attempted to pull the vehicle over at 706 N. Annie Glidden Road, Alexander ran from the car. Police pursued and apprehended the suspect. Alexander was charged with FTA burglary, resisting arrest, driving while license revoked and no insurance.

Between 3 p.m. and 3:45 p.m. Tuesday, a retail theft of two items of clothing was reported at Kohl’s, 2070 Sycamore Road. Two items of jewelry were also reported to be selected and put back in damaged condition and were not sellable. After leaving the store without purchasing the items, Amanda L. Potts, 24, of DeKalb, was arrested, booked and released on bond. Her court date is set for Dec. 14.
