Huskies wave farewell to 5 senior players

Remember in the ‘90s when your favorite movies came out on the now prehistoric VHS tapes, instead of the shiny DVD’s that are standard now?
Well, technology is continuing to make progress and there are now machines available for personal use to transfer VHS tapes to DVD.
Before you get too excited and go on a recording spree, priorities need to be set because this is a time-consuming process.
Transferring hundreds of VHS tapes will not only cost money in terms of the machine and the blank discs, but it will also require a lot of time.
Three categories of VHS tapes should be at the top of the piles:
Family Videos: These are not only priceless mementos, but some tend to be quite amusing. Remembering “how things used to be in simpler times” is a wonderful activity to partake in with relatives, especially as the holiday season looms.
Classic Disney Films: None of this sequel crap. “Lion King,” “Little Mermaid,” “Aladdin” and “Pocahontas” are a few of the classics that advances in technology could never top. Age allows the underlying themes to be easier to understand. The message that gets across also tends to be different, compared to how it was understood as children.
Any recording of a school-sponsored performance: Although incineration may seem preferred, these tapes will eventually hold meaning to your children, grandchildren and so on. Until then, the tapes offer many opportunities: laughing at yourself may prove easier than imaginable, seeing old friends may inspire a friend request on Facebook or you may decide to rekindle an old talent.
Many memories deserve to be transferred over because their amusement, message, etc., will withstand the test of time.
