COMS Department permits due Friday
By MICHAEL VAN DER HARST

For those looking to take an upper-level communication class next semester, the deadline to turn in a permit for 11 of those classes is Friday.

The communication department requires students looking to take certain popular upper-level classes to go through the permit process to make sure those who want to be in the class get the opportunity, as registration opens to the masses.

Permits must be turned in by 4:30 p.m. Friday in Watson Hall, Room 209.
Students will find out Oct. 29 if their request for a permit has been accepted. Once accepted, students have until Nov. 2 to fill out an authorization form which the COMS department will use to register the student for the class before registration opens to the rest of the student body.

Some classes require a prerequisite, which can be found online at the COMS department Web site.
