Venture Grant Application Due
Faculty and staff looking to apply for the NIU Foundation’s Venture Grant have until this Friday to turn in their proposals.
The Foundation awards between two and four grants ranging from $5,000 to $25,000. Any staff member within the Division of Academic and Student Affairs, Administration and University Outreach and Intercollegiate Athletics can apply.
Forms for the grants are available on the NIU Foundation Web page.
Art Museum Trip Sign-Up Ending
The NIU Art Museum is visiting the Art Institute of Chicago on Friday, Feb. 23 to view two extensive exhibits on two American artists.
“Watercolors of Winslow Homer: The Color of Light,” and an exhibit on Edward Hopper are the two featured.
Tickets can be purchased at the museum in Altgeld Hall. NIU Art Museum members can purchase tickets for $21, $24 for students and senior citizens and $26 for the general public. Members of the Art Institute of Chicago can purchase reduced tickets ranging from $10 to $15.
The deadline to purchase tickets is today.
Athletics Survey
The NIU Athletic Board is conducting a survey to better gauge the athletic interests of the NIU and DeKalb communities.
The survey consists of ten questions and should only take a few minutes to complete.
Anyone can take the survey, which is located at http://www.cob.niu.edu/athletics_survey
Vagina Monologues Auditions
The Women’s Rights Alliance is hosting auditions for the NIU version of the Vagina Monologues. The WRA is looking for actresses, production staff, ushers and other help. To audition, you will be required to read a short passage from the play itself.
Sign-up is tonight at 8 p.m. in the Blue Room at the NIU Women’s Resource Center.
