Shootings impacted those across the nation
By LETTER WRITER
At 70 years of age, I now look back upon more than I shall see in front.

My undergraduate years long behind me were days of joy, fun and learning.

My comfort zone was my fraternity and my university.

My education was free of danger.

So, it is difficult to relate to the events of Feb. 14 beyond the shock and disbelief of once again our future has been diminished in violence.

Each of us lost, whether directly or indirectly connected to the family of the university.
We are all family, tied together in our humanity, nationhood, and search for a better tomorrow.

May God grant each peace and a greater purpose, for in this shall some sense return to normality as it now exists.

May those wounded heal; may those murdered find the comfort of the Lord.
My heart and soul are broken for once again our future is diminished.

Lift up your hearts for yours is the future!

God bless!

Respectfully,
